A polar bear mum suckling her two 8-10 week old cubs. This image was taken on a trip to Canada. We had spent many days out on the ice looking for bears that had recently emerged from their dens and were now traveling to the sea-ice to hunt for seals. Several blank days taught us how difficult and unpredictable these sightings could be. However, when it finally happened, it was one of the most amazing sightings ever. As the cubs are still so young, they need to stop constantly to rest. We enjoyed several hours with this family while the cubs slept, played and fed.
